What happens when schools reopen?

At KTM Solutions, we want to contribute to our community. As a part of that goal, we’ve refocused our efforts during COVID-19 to include custom partitions for schools and workplaces.

Why do partitions matter?

School districts, as well as students and parents, have been receiving mixed messages on whether to reopen schools this fall. But one consideration that seems consistent across the board is that whenever schools do reopen—whether this fall or later—they need to implement protocols that will protect the health of students, educators, and their families.

In fighting the spread of the coronavirus, changes to physical spaces can help maintain social distance and separate individuals from particles spread by talking, coughing, or sneezing.

Biggest Risk Factors for COVID

While aerosol transmission of COVID-19 is a growing concern, and health experts recommend avoiding crowded, poorly ventilated areas, the World Health Organization continues to emphasize droplets spread by close contact with an infected person as a major concern, with transmission via coughs, sneezes, or contaminated surfaces.

Distances of at least 6 feet, PPE such as face masks, and physical barriers throughout shared spaces are consistently recommended precautions in slowing the spread of this coronavirus.

Let Us Help

At KTM, we value both safety and quality, and we wouldn’t ask our customers to sacrifice either. In fighting the pandemic with our community, we’re proud to provide custom partitions for schools and workplaces. If you’re looking for physical barriers to help maintain social distance in your space, contact us to discuss your needs, and let our engineers develop a custom solution.
