Knowing what to headline
What’s the one question a business owner needs to make sure they can answer? Well, what’s the one thing a customer needs to know in order to make a decision on whose products or services to buy? Maybe the answer seems a little inane: “Out of all my options, why choose this company? What makes them different?”
This might not seem like front-page news—the question is simple. But the answer may or may not be. Even in a niche market you’ll likely have competition, so figuring out what you uniquely offer is how you pin down exactly who you as a company are, how you should go about selling your products or services, and how you can keep up with—or, even better, stay ahead of—the competition. What is it that you offer and your competitors don’t?
Paul Kumler, one of the co-founders of KTM Solutions, tackles this topic in a recent article for South Carolina Manufacturing.
